These specimens are sufficient to show the possibility of finding an effective modulation to any key. Exercise 37.
	(a) Play the following cadence		then
	commence a monotone of E natural, F, F sharp, G, A flat, A, B flat, and B natural, successively, striking the new tone alone, and then playing such modulating harmonies as will cause it to become the dominant of the new key. Avoid commonplace progressions, and play in definite rhythm. Vary the pace and style. (b)   Find out, and note, instances in standard com­positions where one movement is followed by another in an unrelated key. (c)   Look for cases where one phrase is followed by another in an unrelated key.
